Publisher Description:
From the time of Adam's sin in the Garden of Eden to the present, man has attempted to resolve the question of his relationship with God. The ATHEIST simply denies the existence of God. To him, man is merely another animal, with superior intellect; living for a time, enduring the harsh fate of life, and then dying a complete and final death. To the atheist nothing is eternal; all things are temporal, passing with time. To him, God speaks: Psalms 53:1; "The fool has said in his heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, and have done abominable iniquity; There is none that does good." The AGNOSTIC piously declares that it is not possible for man to ascertain the existence of God, therefore, no relationship with Him may be established; but this "I won't bother God if He won't bother me" philosophy leaves the human mind vulnerable to such damnable heresies as the EVOLUTION HYPOTHESIS, REINCARNATION, and the rejection of eternal truths, ie: Heaven and Hell, Sin and Judgment. God warns: "For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened." (Romans 1:20-21)The word religion describes man's efforts to bring himself back into a right relationship with God. Religious man acknowledges God, by different names, and with different attributes. Systems of worship and self-improvement follow, all seeking to gain God's favor. God, however, has not left the destiny of the soul to man's devices. WHAT IS SALVATION is a study of GOD's Plan, the Gospel of Jesus Christ; in His death, burial, and resurrection. Christ does for man what he doesn't deserve and can't do for himself, because by GRACE through FAITH, He establishes man righteous before God: 1 Peter 3:18; "For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit."
