Publisher Description: The book mostly follows the lives of Plumfield boys who were introduced in Little Men, particularly Tommy, Emil, Demi, Nat, Dan, and Professor Bhaer and Jo's sons Rob and Teddy, although the others make frequent appearances as well. The book takes place ten years after Little Men. Dolly and George are college students dealing with the temptations of snobbery, arrogance, self-indulgence and vanity. Jo's boys is the last book about the March sisters, their offspring and all the children at Jo's school. In this book, the children are growing up, the March girls' mother is dead as is Laurie's father, and the young folk are off to university or off into the world find their own way and to earn their own income. |
