Publisher Description:
Oppression has been with us in various forms since the beginning of time. The feudal system, the brutal governments, the Inquisition, both sides of the Crusades, Communism, Nazism, show it can come from any quarter. This study starts as America was facing the most devastating war in its history, The War of Southern Rebellion, incorrectly called the Civil War. This war ultimately ended slavery, one form of oppression, but prosecuting it brought more oppression and the backwash of it opened the door for a revival of oppression, the neo-slavery of Government oppression. This war extended beyond the battle fields, past 1865, when it extended into the hearts of men and the Bible says those are intensely wicked. That wickedness reared its ugly head about 1895 and continued till well into the 20th Century with hellish practices that were in too many cases, not infractions of the law, but provided by the law itself. Some of that evil continues to drive actions to this day. This is an abridged study, a complete one is beyond this author. I believe that in pointing out the ones I have, the astute reader will be able to ferret out others.
