Publisher Description:
"A Medium's Diary" is definitive chronological and pictorial history of the renowned medium, Carl R. Hewitt. This book contains pictures never before seen by the public. You will step into Carl's life through these accounts of the mediumistic events that he experienced. Carl R. Hewitt was a natural born medium since he was born with the gifts of seeing and hearing Spirit. His family and the entire community were Baptists and believed the devil empowered Carl's gifts. Therefore, they ostracized Carl throughout his childhood. Carl felt his gift was a curse. This book documents Carl's journey to discover his gift was a blessing. Many of mediumistic and psychic events that occurred during Rev. Carl Hewitt's lifetime border on the miraculous and will leave the reader wondering how could these events be possible. One such occasion deals with the portrait painted of Carl which is on the cover of this book. The artist who painted Carl's exact likeness had never met Carl. As she walked along the beach, she saw a vision of a man, who "haunted" her so much that she returned to her studio and immediately began painting him. One day, she went to a demonstration of Carl's mediumship, saw him walk on the stage, and let out a blood-curdling scream as she recognized him. Carl even owned the clothes and belt that appear in this picture. (See entry # 49.) Rev. Carl R. Hewitt dedicated his life to teaching people about the Gifts of the Spirit, using this Biblical quote as his motto: "I will not have you ignorant of the Gifts of the Spirit" (1 Corinthians 12:1). Since he had suffered at the hands of people who were ignorant of the Gifts of the Spirit, Carl did all he could to teach people the laws of psychic science. This book is not so much a memorial to Rev. Carl R. Hewitt, but the testimony of what the Spirit people living in an unseen dimension can accomplish through us when we open our lives and make ourselves accessible to them.
