Publisher Description: The book is presented as the narration of a traveler with the false title Travel to several remote Nations of the World, his authorship is only assigned to Lemuel Gulliver, being "at first a surgeon, and then a captain of various ships." The text is presented as a narration in the first person by the supposed author, and the name "Gulliver" does not appear in the book more than in the title. Different versions of the book contain different versions of the introductory material that are almost the same in modern books. The book itself is divided into four parts, each representing a trip. |
