Publisher Description: Crooked Lines is a collection of short stories and poetry with a wide range of themes and plots. A few of the stories are funny and some are sad. A couple of them could even be considered pensive and dark. There are also personal recollections, true stories and reflections of real life events I have only slightly embellished. The poetry is a random collection of free verse writings about broken hearts, children, sports, and nature among other things. I have inserted the poems for mental distractions (or respites) from the literature mentioned above. Most of this literature was written in the last year and, relative to the title of this book, there is no straight line of thinking as to why I wrote any of them. Enjoy each story. Try to interpret each poem. When you are finished, call me. Maybe we can straighten it all out. |
