Publisher Description: The charming story of a turtle family who resides in the Caribbean waters off the coast of Aruba. Christmas has arrived and the father, Papa George, has returned to the island from working on another island. The family is joyed to have him home and Mama Loretta prepares a Christmas feast to share with friends. One family of their cod friends, the Codettes do not arrive for the feast. Tutu and Tula go to the Codette home and find that they were too ashamed to join in the feast as they are poor and had nothing to take to the feast. Tutu and Tula convince them to join them and upon return donate their Christmas gifts to the Codette children.The moral of the story is that of sharing with others who have little. |
