Contributor Bio(s): Friesen, Elden: - A little bit about. Elden Friesen I have worked in the heavy equipment construction industry for eight years operating all kinds of different equipment. In that time, I have worked across Alberta, Saskatchewan and Labrador Canada as well as the Cerrejon coal mine in Columbia, South America. Writing a book has always been something I wanted to do but put it off for various reasons (excuses really). I began writing for children shortly after my Grandson was born 2017. I wanted to leave him with something very special and a book that is dedicated and written for him I think fits. I have always been a creative whether it be drawing and painting pictures for a publishing house, playing guitar, writing, mixing and producing music in a studio, working alongside some of the artists I grew up listening to on the radio. Building electric guitars, palette furniture for my home and garden to building a 1/4 mile go-cart track and cart. Or carving custom leather motorcycle seats way beyond the generic stuff you may have seen on TV. I have always been creative and done it just a little bit better than everyone else around me. The books that I am writing for my grandson are meant to teach the three R's reading, righting and rithmatic, with a dash of humour, inspiring him with imagination using heavy equipment to bring wonder and amusement into his world. Learning the fundamentals of language, hand eye coordination, spelling, math and colour is so important. I also want to encourage him to apply work and effort to achieve the things he wants in life, which is something I didn't learn until much later on in my own life. Thoughts don't become things unless you complete the cycle and this is what motivates me to keep going and to see my ideas come to fruition. I find inspiration through books and movies on philosophy, mythology and fantasy. Adapting those concepts into my world of Vroom Vroom Beep Beep.
