This book examines the foundations and principles of Protestant church law thus allowing for a well informed debate on the legitimacy of ecclesiastical order. People can be part of this ecclesiastical order, either as members of the church or as volunteers or employed professionals. This brings with it both specific requirements and a variety of possible courses of action. Such activities take place within the various different structures of the Church as a whole as well as within its associated organizations and thereby give the Church its form. At the same time they bring about the establishment of formal links between the Church's individual entities. The goal is always to engage in collective action in a spiritually appropriate way. In diesem Buch werden Grundlagen und Grundzuge des evangelischen Kirchenrechts entfaltet, so dass eine substantiierte Auseinandersetzung uber die Legitimitat der kirchlichen Ordnung moglich wird. In die kirchliche Ordnung konnen Menschen als Kirchenmitglieder und als ehrenamtlich oder beruflich Tatige einbezogen sein. Dabei ergeben sich jeweils spezifische Voraussetzungen und Handlungsmoglichkeiten. Das Handeln vollzieht sich in ausdifferenzierten Strukturen der verfassten Kirche und der ihr zugeordneten Organisationen. Auf diese Weise findet die Kirche jeweils konkrete Gestalt.
