Publisher Description:
The researcher looked for how decision-makers make meaning to produce decisions, how they structure a network of people that can help to understand what's the best under the uncertain context. This process is Learning under Uncertainty which is interpreted as being a process of learning through experience and sensing others' needs. The methodology selected was a combination of: Grounded Theory Methodology and Actor-network Theory. The data was gathered and analysed from interview participants from different fields. This book makes a number of contributions to the field of decision-making, analysing it through the perspective of being based on interactional constructs in a social-context web, where information system views are present, but are also enhanced with human constructs that come through human activity systems. This book provides three results in the form of frameworks, respectively a GTM conceptual framework (situational framework), a conceptual ANT network (process framework) and an enhancement conceptual framework (behavioural framework). This book, aimed at students and researchers in decision science, DSS and information management in general.
