Publisher Description: HPTLC and HPLC are most commonly used chromatographic technique, which is powerful analytical determination and validation of several biomarkers. Results obtained are simple, precise and accurate signifying well quality fingerprint profile of various phytoconsituents as a biomarker obtained from nature. Luteolin is a flavonoid, mostly belongs to class of bioflavonoids and shows antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-tumor properties. It is found in high amounts in parsley, thyme, peppermint, basil herb, celery and artichoke. It is a well documented biomarker of Elliptica elba. To validate and optimize luteolin from herbal formulation and plant extracts using HPTLC and HPLC, several procedures are well defined and results are well validated. |
