Publisher Description: Results show that 84.2% of those interviewed were aware of at least one type of LACMs but only 18.5% were using it to space or limit their families. The results of multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that current family planning user women who had moderate knowledge were 5.2 times more likely to use LACMs as compared with those who had low knowledge (AOR=5.2, 95% CI:2.75, 9.83). Current family planning user who had high knowledge was 14.84 times more likely to use LACMs as compared with those who had low knowledge (AOR=14.84, 95% CI: 8.14, 27.05). Women who had discussion with their husband or partner about LACMs were 3.23 times more likely to use long acting contraceptive methods compared with those who had no discussion on long acting contraceptive methods(AOR= 3.23, 95% CI:1.76, 5.93). |
