| Publisher Description: Kant's logic lectures are anything but a special course of lectures on the problems of logic. They are more like a first introduction to philosophy in general and in a unique way they reflect the intellectual world of the German Enlightenment. In the third volume of the Kant Index, a transcript of such a logic lecture is broken down lexically for the first time. As a result of this, the language and terminology of Enlightenment philosophy in the 18th century are readily accessible. The Logik Blomberg (Blomberg Logic) goes back to the beginning of the seventies and is thus one of the earliest of the completely extant transcripts. Together with the first two volumes of the Kant Index, this index volume is an important resource for understanding the variety of references in the lecture notes, the compendium which Kant used and the reflections in the literary remains on logic. The repeatedly discussed questions pertaining to the reliability, the origins and the age determination of the transcripts are thus at least somewhat closer to being solved. With the aid of comprehensive lists of typographical errors and errors in transcription, emendations and conjectures, several hundred errors in Volume XXIV of the Academy edition have also been corrected on the basis of the transcript. Kants Logikvorlesungen sind alles andere als ein Spezialkolleg uber Probleme der Logik. Sie sind vielmehr - in der Tradition von Christian Wolffs Philosophia rationalis sive Logica - zugleich so etwas wie eine erste Einfuhrung in die Philosophie uberhaupt und spiegeln damit in einzigartiger Weise die Gedankenwelt der deutschen Aufklarung. Mit dem dritten Band des Kant-Index wird erstmals eine Nachschrift einer solchen Logikvorlesung lexikalisch aufgeschlusselt. Sprache und Begrifflichkeit der Aufklarungsphilosophie des 18. Jahrhunderts werden dadurch beispielhaft erschlossen.Die Logik Blomberg geht auf den Anfang der siebziger Jahre zuruck; sie ist damit unter den vollstandig erhaltenen Nachschriften eine der fruhesten und die bisher umfangreichste. Zusammen mit den ersten beiden Banden des Kant-Index gibt dieser Indexband zugleich ein wichtiges Hilfsmittel an die Hand, die vielfaltigen Bezuge zwischen den Vorlesungsnachschriften, dem von Kant benutzten Kompendium und den Reflexionen des Logiknachlasses zu erfassen sowie die Abhangigkeiten zwischen verschiedenen Nachschriften sichtbar zu machen. Daruber hinaus kommt einigen Sonderindices fur die Kantforschung besonderes Gewicht zu. Die immer wieder erorterten Fragen nach der Verlasslichkeit, nach der Entstehung und nach der Datierung der Nachschriften werden damit einer Losung zumindest nahergebracht. - Mit Hilfe umfangreicher Verzeichnisse der Druck- bzw. Transkriptionsfehler, Emendationen und Konjekturen werden zudem unter Zugrundelegung der Handschrift einige hundert Fehler im Band XXIV der Akademie-Ausgabe richtiggestellt. |
