Publisher Description:
The effect of food aid on food crop production has been subject to debate. Theoretical and empirical evidences have maintained contrasting views. While some schools of thought emphasized that food aid has a disincentive effect on food crop production, other parallel views suggest absence of the disincentive effects. This book aims at investigating whether the disincentive effects exist on maize crop production in Zimbabwe. The focus is on two agricultural sectors namely commercial and communal agricultural sectors which form up the agricultural sector of Zimbabwe.
