New themes were introduced, societally relevant questions were developed and new approaches in academic co-operation were tested. The volume examines the effects of the 1968 movement on the history of art, especially at universities and art colleges, but also in museums and the exhibition industry. German text. German description: Im Zuge der Studentenbewegung und der Politisierung der Hochschulen in den spaten 60er Jahren hat sich die Kunstwissenschaft grundlegend verandert. Der wissenschaft- liche Nachwuchs forderte weitreichende institutionelle und inhaltliche Reformen ein, eine Demokratisierung der Bildungs- institutionen, die Reform der kunstwissenschaftlichen Ausbil- dung, ein neues, kritisches Wissenschaftsverstandnis und eine starkere Verankerung der Wissenschaft in der Gesell- schaft. Es wurden neue Themen gesetzt, gesellschaftsbezo- gene Fragestellungen entwickelt und kooperative wissenschaft- liche Umgangsformen erprobt. Der Band untersucht die Auswirkungen der 68er-Bewegung auf die Kunstgeschichte, insbesondere an den Universitaten und Kunsthochschulen, aber auch an den Museen und im Ausstellungswesen. |
