"History of the reign of Emperor Alexander I and his time in Russia" was published in 1869-1871 gg. Its author, Bogdanovich Modest Ivanovich (1805-1882) - Lieutenant General, a military writer. In 1831, he participated in the battles of Wavre Olszynka Grochowska, Debe Wielkie and Ragozin. After a course at the military academy, took in her chair of military history and strategy, he was a member of the Military Council, the military official historiography. He left behind a lot of military history and historical works, which are interested mainly political history; his attempts to criticize the Create Legend were met by official historians rather unkindly. The story is divided into two parts: the first consisting in Volumes I-IV, it covers the events 1801-1815 gg.; second - V, VI volume - contains historical period after 1815 until the death of Alexander I in 1825.
