| Publisher Description: 7-volume work of the outstanding Russian historian Kareeva illuminates the process of formation, development and existence of modern Western Europe. We consider all aspects of political and public life, the author is no doubt able to identify many of the causal historical ties, and explain them with his authoritative position. The first volume came out in the early nineties of the 19th century, posvyaschennye- a "transition from the Middle Ages to modern times," the other "and the reformation of the political life in the XVI and XVII centuries," the third XVIII century and the revolution," arose from read to them shared course of modern history, had the purpose to find out the value of the two major upheavals in the life of Western Europe over the past four centuries, t. e., the Reformation and the revolution in communications with the general character of modern history with its difference from the medieval. However, later, CARE decided to push the boundaries of the first tasks and bring povestvanie sovremenngo to him the situation. Kareev intended his book as a guide to the degree of acquaintance with the history that follows the assimilation of the textbook model, and suggested it to the reader, already summarized in historical facts. |
