Publisher Description: The Colpamayo stream is a tributary of the Chotano river, its waters flow south-east of the city of Chota and are polluted along its course by effluent discharges with domestic and industrial waste. The objective was to characterize and evaluate the physicochemical and microbiological parameters of the waters of the stream in six sampling stations (MS) in the low water (June), low water-rain transition (October) and rainy season (November). Determining that the microbiological parameters of five of the six sampling stations do not comply with the Environmental Quality Standards for water category III (ECA-water. Cat. III). Of the physicochemical parameters: pH, temperature, electrical conductivity and bicarbonates, these are within the ranges established in the standard. The highest values of the physicochemical and microbiological parameters occur during the dry season, decreasing during the rainy season. |
