Publisher Description:
Urban explorer turned paranormal investigator Ally Moore has a problem. No, it's not the talking to the dead thing; she has that covered. It's more the responsibility of taking care of the living thing.

She's the host and leader of Seekers, a paranormal investigation web series. After some success from a few viral videos, she and her crew have plans to hit the road to film footage for a pilot and demo reel. If she can get them a show on network television, she can spend less time worrying whether everyone can get paid every month.

With two new additions to the team, they make their way across the state, visiting a selection of locations and performing a number of tests, some new and meant to show range. Right away, their trip goes awry. A run-in with a volatile spirit, another spirit with clairvoyant abilities, which gives a dire warning, and a recurring, residual event all make Ally increasingly uneasy about the rest of their trip.

In a multiday location, Mercyville, a town a little too nice, a little too prosperous in comparison to neighboring towns; the crew takes a day off, and it only gives Ally more time to worry that something is coming, something that she and her crew aren't going to be able to handle. Even running into a handsome stranger isn't enough to take her mind off of the strange events that keep happening.

When a séance goes wrong, and the group is left shaken by the experience, they have to decide whether they will continue. With just one stop left, they decide to head into the woods for a night. They stumble upon the reason the town flourishes despite its location and lack of industry. Under attack from the seen and unseen, they must fight to get out of the woods and away from the town alive.
