Publisher Description:
This book is the fourth in my You, Me, and God Make Three series. This title is based on an inspiration God placed in my mind as I was outlining how I would convert my blog post on my Christian life coaching web site to a book. The title immediately made sense to me because, as I noted in the introductions to one of my previous books, You, Me, and God Make Three, at the beginning of a coaching relationship I tell the client there are three parties involved in my Christian life coaching sessions. When I coach, there is the client and myself. The third person, I stress to the client, is God. I tell the client from the first session going forward, "It's you, me, and God make three." Hence the title for my series of books thus far, including my last book, You, Me, and God Make Three: Perfect Prayers for an Imperfect World. Each reading includes a personal reflection (In My Words), relevant scriptures (In God's Words), questions and applications (In Your Words), inspirational quotes (In the Words of Others), and space for journaling (Comment for Your Journal). The book includes over 1,100 scripture references, 320 famous quotes, and 520 questions or applications. The format of the book, similar to my first two books, is perfect for personal or small group study. I occasionally sat in on one such group, and appreciated how they used one of previous books on a year-long journey through Scripture and the questions and applications I suggested. As you make your way through this eclectic selection of topics, play an active role in the conversation between me and the Lord, answering application questions and meditating on thought-provoking scriptures and quotes that will help you discover more about yourself, how to make the changes you want to make, and how to be more of what God wants you to be as you progress in your Christian walk. I encourage you to develop your own reading plan. Spend some time with each selection, reflecting on its content, using it for daily or weekly meditations, or reading several selections at a time and revisiting them as needed. It is not a book to be read in one or two sittings and tucked away on a self. I sincerely hope you will be blessed as you walk with me, the Lord, and the others who joined us along the way.
