Publisher Description:
My memoir is my journey through my childhood. I take the reader with me as I remember bit by bit the pieces of my childhood. I use my words as a conscious effort to bring to light the dark days in a valiant attempt to move forward with my life and to finally make my voice heard. Woven through my childhood was a web of lies, shame and secrets that were hidden quite well but little by little as I progressed from my childhood to a young adult I unravel the secrets that tore my family apart. Those secrets would finally reveal the reasons behind the dark despair and abuse that permeated my entire childhood but the revelation of those secrets would render me incapable of leading a normal life, until I was able to find my voice on the sheets of paper of which I revealed my story. With each word, each painstaking sentence, I began to accept the fact that I was a victim. I had no voice then, I was a child, lost and alone but now that child in me can be comforted by these words, I have a voice, I am no longer a Whisper in the Wind.
