Publisher Description: On the 10th-year of his lifetime sentence of isolation on a mysterious farm known as "The Labyrinth", St. Claire has only one friend: an apparition named Johann with whom he communicates mentally. Though he is serving a sentence for the rape of a young woman, he begins to doubt the legitimacy of his memories of the incident. He grows more and more dubious of the reality of his memories. This play takes place in the philosophical future of the #MeToo movement, in a future in which the excitement of a lie carries more weight than the truth. St. Claire contemplates the meaning of truth, perception, and the role that society plays in the protection of individuals. This play is heavily inspired by true events, and is FOR MATURE AUDIENCES ONLY. |
