They use psychologists to try to identify the specific mental illness, personality disorder, or psyche illness that a person has; and then, they use social workers for therapy and treatment options. If it is good enough for clinical psychology, then it is also good enough for Theoretical Psychology. Truth remains true no matter where you find it, or how it is used.The BioPsychoSocial Model was developed for abnormal psychology and the treatment of mental illnesses, but I have observed that the BioPsychoSocial Model makes for an excellent Model of Reality, if we choose to let it do so, because it attempts to be holistic or all-inclusive.
