Publisher Description: The book starts with a Christian testimony, followed by seven letters to various groups of people the author met in his life, including agnostics, Muslims, Jews as well as Chinese Taoists and Christians. The testimony speaks of God's providence observed over the author's lifespan, particularly the last two decades. The letters reflect a theology and ethics, emerging from Leslaw Kawalec's experience, social and intellectual encounters and a critical observation of the world and its history. The Polish author's chrism name is Paul, hence the protagonist of the acts and letters. Born a Catholic, baptized in adulthood in an evangelical Church, did a seminary and acted as lay preacher in the United Methodist Church, holding views close to Nestorian and a big enthusiast of the Church of the East's mission to China, Kawalec is a non-denominational Christian writer, author of a sci-fi novel, a book on faith and a rhyming epic for Children as well as blogs, all published in Polish. He is also an itinerant teacher, specializing in ESL, study and exam skills. |
