Publisher Description: It is about a doctor's journey from India to Europe via Africa who became a prisoner of war under the hands of the Germans during WWII. His love story began from Calcutta, India that lasted till the end of the story. Love story consists of very beautiful and rhetorical poems that describe their burning appetite of love and eroticism. The pain which they together bore after their separation during the war and the return journey of the doctor after the end of the war was very painstaking. The mass murder of the Jews, the brutal treatment of the POW by the Germans, invasion of the Soviet Union, barbarism on the Soviet women by the Germans, the vengeance of the Soviet on the Germans are clearly elaborated. It also includes India's struggle for Independence, life during Bengal Famine, attack on Pearl Harbour and the vengeance of the US through atomic bombing on Japan. |
