Publisher Description: In my years of being an English teacher in middle and high school, I had many students who were in foster care. When I assigned students to journal, they wrote what was on their minds, usually with nothing held back. Many wrote about their experiences in foster care. Some of them even told me verbally what was happening to them because they either trusted me, or were at their bursting points and were desperate for help. Even though this story is fiction and the events happen to one young boy, it is a compilation of the journal entries and events that happened to my former students in real life. |
