Publisher Description:
This is the story of an old brick house built over 150 years ago in the state of Ohio. The story of the house tells the story of the family who built it, the Johnstons of Franklin County. The Johnstons were among the earliest settlers in Ohio, and many descendants live there today. The house was torn down in 2019 when it was no longer useful. This is the sad fate of so many beautiful houses built in the 1800s, houses that became too expensive to modernize today because they lacked so much of what we now have in our homes; air conditioning, central heating, modern kitchens, large bathrooms, and many other modern conveniences.
