| Publisher Description: John Stuart Mill's theory of utilitarianism is an ethical landmark that is still popularly taught and utilized today. Reformulating the ethical theory first articulated by Jeremy Bentham, Mill introduces important nuances that arguably strengthen the utilitarian stance.
