Publisher Description:
As the sunlight warmed my face, I knew it was the start of a new day. I began to pray as I did every morning before I opened my eyes. I had been through too much in my life not to give God thanks for each day He allowed me to open them. After praying I just kept my eyes closed, and basked in the peace that I had finally found. It took me so many years and so many mistakes to finally realize that everything that I had spent years searching for was within me all along. I had spent so many years trying to please others in return for a love I could only give myself. It was only after making that discovery that I could begin to heal myself from all of my wounds some inflicted by others and some self inflicted. Some were inflicted by enemies and some by the people that I loved the most. Nonetheless this is about me becoming aware of who I really am, and becoming the best version of myself that I can be. Not being a victim but a survivor of this thing called life. Hopefully this will help someone else that may be on this journey of self discovery and self love, and they can take something from this to help them along the way. Some people use the things that happen to them in life as a crutch, but we should use them as stepping stones along the way. Just remember to bend but never break.
