Publisher Description: Sarah and Sam thought that they had it all: they had passed their medical fellowship exams, were currently in the prime of their careers, and were financially secure, living in a beautiful neighborhood. Their lives seemed complete, except for one thing. For many years, they had kept a secret from their family and friends. Behind the fa ade lay the deeply painful, yet unspoken grief of coping with infertility. Thorough, witty and at times, heart piercing - Sarah, a General Practitioner in Melbourne, shares a detailed memoir about the IVF fertility journey, through her eyes as a patient. |
Contributor Bio(s): Lnyy, Sarah: - Dr Sarah Lnyy is a cosmetic and general medical practitioner with a special interest in women's health. Her second career as an author began in 2012 when she and her husband faced the harsh reality of infertility. Sarah found comfort in writing. She started documenting her IVF journey, by keeping a diary and sending emails to her imaginary, unborn child. She soon discovered that there were many couples experiencing similar unspoken grief. This has inspired her to write her first book. Sarah currently resides in Melbourne with her family and a pet goldfish. |
