Contributor Bio(s): Gillespie, Brandon: - Brandon has a breadth of experience, through his career including CTO, CIO, Director of Operations, Security and Infrastructure, Architect, Consultant, Engineer, Developer, and Project Manager across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Some of his accomplishments include consolidating the Operational Intelligence strategy for a large organization with 1200 disparate systems; Architecting a large DoD compute facility and cloud stacks; defining policy used across the world for incident handling in a virtualized datacenter (RSA Conference and VMWorld presentations); and serving as Lead Architect on the team awarded Innovator of the Year from Red Hat. As an entrepreneur, he has led the development of open source software with global team members, pioneered online game technologies, started several companies, and has developed for FreeBSD. More recently, he has created Reflex, an OSS tool to help with the modern challenges of ephemeral system/container management. Brandon is a published author, loves all forms of technical or hacking topics, and blogs about them at http: //surfingthe.cloud/.
