The narrative describes the history of the family from the 17th century to the early 20th century. The family settled primarily in Chicago, and Black Hawk County, Iowa, with branches spreading to Minnesota, North Dakota and Nebraska. Included is information on the Palmer family of Temuka, New Zealand and Hicks and Palmer family in Australia.
