Publisher Description:

A stranger walks into a restaurant and has an even stranger request - a meal in exchange for a song. Would you be willing to help someone even though you know they could never repay you? One couple did, and what they received was so much more than what they gave. With witty prose and whimsical illustrations, the Ballad of the Traveler will be sure to entertain and inspire kids of all ages.

Contributor Bio(s): Deshpande, Sumit: - "Sumit is a storyteller and a dreamer - not necessarily in that order. He is a digital technology professional by day and moonlights as a musician, songwriter, and author. Check out some of his band's various projects at www.thedyfference.com. The Traveler, and many other characters, are a result of his kids begging him for new and original stories every night before bed. Although he is a city boy, he absolutely enjoys living with his wife and three children in semi-rural North Carolina."Witcher, Vincent: - Vincent is an artist, musician, writer, and animator; and loves to bring stories to life. He has a B.A. in Art from Bob Jones University, studied Art Education at Averette College, and is certified by the Art Institute of Charlotte in new media. He has taught art for several years and has produced classical and easy listening music. You can see some of his work at www.vincentwitcher.net. Vincent also has an MDiv from Liberty University, and works part-time with his father, who pastors a church in Danville, VA. He is single and lives in the rolling hills of southern Virginia near his beloved family.
