Contributor Bio(s): Nakagawa, Gaku: - Gaku Nakagawa is a Buddhist monk and illustrator. He was born as a son of a temple master of Zuisenji, Kyoto in 1966 and studied Buddhist art at university. After working as a copywriter, he became a freelance illustrator while living at a temple as a monk. His art works are well-received abroad and adopted by prestigious art magazines including MONOCLE (sold in 20 countries worldwide) and ILLUSTRATION NOW! (released by German art publisher TASCHEN). |
