Publisher Description:

This book, The Agape Spectrum, has something for every reader. It's a fast read that quickly drew me in. I was touched because the special sand made me realize that I don't take the time to try to see others through Jesus' eyes. The happy, thought-provoking end was also fulfilling. Becky Hade, Dietary/Service Manager, Mt. View Services

This murder mystery with a strong evangelical message has a number of twists and turns that captivate the reader. It's a "who-done-it" that leaves the reader surprised at who actually committed the crime, all the while sprinkled with the saving message of Jesus Christ. The Agape Spectrum is a very interesting read Jen Janecek, Treasurer, Inland Empire Branch, National League of American Pen Women

The Agape Spectrum is an engaging and entertaining page-turner from author James Ruether, featuring a fine balance of romance, suspense, and fabulism. Stephen Hall, Asst. Registrar, Chapman University

Contributor Bio(s): Ruether, James Michael: - James Ruether really was born in Wichita Kansas-in 1952, but his family moved him to Montclair, CA the following year. Larry Shea really was his best friend. James' family moved to Chino, CA when he was ten. James was in the class of 1970. He met Deana Waddington at Chino High School the day he was expelled from school as a junior. He was an unenthusiastic student but eventually did graduate from Chino Adult High School in 1973 after marrying Deana the previous year. The couple's family includes a daughter and two granddaughters. After high school, James started work as a hay hauler in Chino's heavily dairy valley. Other driving jobs included milk tankers of raw milk from dairies to processors, trucks for Gardner Trucking, and tanks for the US Army's Armored Cavalry. After service, he worked as a glazier for a glazing contractor installing both glass and architectural metals in large commercial projects while Deana dispatched jobs and materials from the office. That job was followed by a term as an estimator of competitive bidding on curtain wall glass and metal installations, which in turn led to serving as an engineering designer for Truss/Joist Corporation. For the past 13 years, he has run his own home inspection business as a service to new home buyers through their realtors. Hobbies include motorcycles and hunting and shooting sports. A memorable day occurred over 20 years ago when James was born again. Having spent most of his life battling a couple of learning disabilities, he has just begun to write and is thoroughly enjoying his poems, and now this creative activity.
