Publisher Description:
This story took place in the capital of the United States. Not on the mall where the monuments stand, but in the ghettos where most tourists don't visit. It's a story about one black male's struggle to grow up and how he had to go through problems that are unknown to the average American. This story also talks about random crimes. All, which is normal to a black male in the district, but is foreign to the higher-class just living blocks away. I wrote this story to enlighten whoever reads it and at the same time bring humor to a matter which is mostly considered to be tragic. All characters are fictional and all events are created to represent the average life of a black male in D.C. I enjoyed writing this story of the life on the streets and hope that you too gain a new insight on how the nation's capital really is. Not from the politician's point of view, but from its black sheep. The people who pay taxes and love its streets just as much as it's senior citizens. I'm writing about the inter-city youth. So please enjoy this story, but at the same time see how life can be a lot different when you're a different complexion. This is one man's tale from D. C., or should I say one Tale From Dodge City.
