Contributor Bio(s): Cormier, Denis: - Ronald A. Walsh (deceased) was an electromechanical design engineer for more than 40 years. He wrote several books, including Machining and Metalworking Handbook, Second Edition, Electromechanical Design Handbook, Third Edition, and Engineering Mathematics Handbook, Fourth Edition (co-author), all published by McGraw-Hill. Denis R. Cormier has been a professor of Industrial Engineering at North Carolina State University since 1994. He is also an associate faculty member of the Integrated Manufacturing Systems Engineering Institutes. He has published over 30 papers and book chapters pertaining to manufacturing processes and systems, and he was a 2003 recipient of the SME Outstanding Young Manufacturing Engineer Award. |
