Annotation: What relevance has Information Technology (IT) to social workers? The UK General Social Care Council (GSCC) demands a certain level of computer literacy. Practical Computer Skills for Social Work enables social work students to identify their standard in seven core areas, and through carefully planned activities mapped to social work skills, the book helps students reach the required standard to enhance the professional practice. Ideal for self-directed study, the book could also form the basis of a course in which students create an e-portfolio of IT skills.
