KHI begun to train mental health nurses in 1998 and its training is structured in theoretical and practical teaching and learning. The clinical practice has been always and integral part of nursing education and use many strategies. Supervision is widely adopted as a strategy to support student development of clinical skills and the literature highlights the student's experiences of supervision. However, the literature seems to lack research done in Africa and in Rwanda in particular. A quantitative survey method using descriptive design was chosen for the method of this study. Forty one self questionnaires were distributed and those comprised the demographic data and CLES+T (Clinical Learning Environment, Supervision and Nurse Teacher evaluation scale)..
