Dr. Gary Gibbons' professional expertise can be divided into two fields: investing and corporate finance. He has extensive experience in portfolio management, securities valuation, financial modeling, and financial planning and evaluation in entrepreneurial firms. He has served on the boards of many public and non-public firms as well as various charitable and quasi-governmental organizations. In his capacity as board member he has often fulfilled the role of chairman of the finance committee or chief financial officer. Additionally, he has served as an expert witness or expert consultant in numerous legal proceedings; these have been applied in support of specific valuation, tax, or regulatory positions, in civil litigation, and in support of arbitration or mediation proceedings. He has served as an expert consultant to the SEC with respect to a variety of valuation, fiduciary, and procedural issues. Dr. Gibbons earned his PhD in business administration--with emphasis in strategy and finance--at Claremont Graduate School of the Peter F. Drucker Graduate School of Management. He received his MS in business administration from California State University, and he earned his BS in business administration at the University of Arizona. He is currently the Academic Director of the Thunderbird Private Equity Center.

Dasilva, Carlos Marques: -

Carlos M. DaSilva has widespread experience in entrepreneurship and the startup ecosystem. He is the Director of the Founder Institute Portugal, the world's largest early stage startup accelerator, with over 1,000 graduate companies across six continents. Dr. DaSilva is responsible for the mentoring dozens of technology entrepreneurs every year. He is frequently invited to lecture on topics related to entrepreneurship, as well as participate in the jury of various startup competitions. Dr. DaSilva held the positions of visiting scholar at the Thunderbird School of Global Management and at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. He is a Professor of Entrepreneurship at the School of Business Administration in Fribourg (Switzerland) and lectures on topics related to entrepreneurial finance and business model innovation. Prior to concluding his PhD in technology management at the University of Ljubljana, he worked for several years as a strategy manager at an Eastern European startup venture that was recently acquired by a large multinational group.

Hisrich, Robert D.: -

Dr. Robert D. Hisrich is the Bridgestone Chair of International Marketing and Associate Dean of Graduate and International Programs at Kent State University and president of H&B Associates, a marketing and management consulting firm he founded. He is the former Garvin Professor of Global Entrepreneurship and Director of the Center for Global Entrepreneurship at Thunderbird School of Global Management. Dr. Hisrich received his MBA and PhD degrees from University of Cincinnati and honorary doctorate degrees from Chuvash State University (Russia) and the University of Miskolc (Hungary). He has authored or co-authored 38 books, including Technology Entrepreneurship: Creating, Capturing, and Protecting Value, Second Edition (with Thomas N. Duening and Michael A.
