Publisher Description:
The Turval and the Grobble - an epic poem. Inspired by the poetry of Lewis Carroll, influenced by the genius of Spike Milligan, this poem is written in a style adapted for the modern world from the language of Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. Written in more modern english the story, to an extent, borrows some lewdness from the English Poet although somewhat mild. When the terrible Grobble monster is set free by the do-gooders of Greenwald the Turval is forced by threats and coercion to become Squire to the grotty Prince DeVoid. The Prince, the layabout spawn of the Duke of Greenwald becomes the witless champion of the people. In this epic poetic tale the Turval accompanies the Prince on his wanderings in search of the terrible monster and on the way is subjected to deprivation, abuse, overwork and the dreadful sight of his master falling in love with a beautiful maiden. Spurred on by love - or lust - for this maiden the grotty Prince vows to seek out the monster and rescue her or allow the Turval to die in the attempt.
