Contributor Bio(s): Hearn III, Thomas K.: - Thomas K. Hearn III, son of the University's current president, Dr. Thomas K. Hearn Jr., is a healthcare executive. This book evolved from a planned gift for Dr. Hearn, who celebrated his 20th year as president in the fall of 2003. Mr. Hearn was aided by several distinguished individuals in this endeavor: Gene T. Capps, director of the Wake Forest College Birthplace Museum; Chaplain Edgar D. Christman, retired chaplain of Wake Forest University; Dr. J. Edwin Hendricks, Wake Forest history professor whose class offerings include "The History of Wake Forest University;" and Dr. Edwin G. Wilson, University Provost Emeritus. The author's proceeds from this book will be donated to the Louise Patton Hearn Scholarship Fund at Wake Forest University. |
