Anselm of Canterbury utilized an a priori methodology from above featuring the cross and incarnation, and Wolfhart Pannenberg utilized an a posteriori methodology from below featuring the resurrection. While the duration of time between Anselm of Canterbury (1033-1109 CE) and Wolfhart Pannenberg (1928-204) is extensive, the principles of Christology are not necessarily limited by time.
